I am Disha Andapally, a fresh graduate student majoring in architecture. I am from the 'city of pearls' Hyderabad, situated in southern India. I pursued Bachelors in Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, India. As a part of the curriculum, I did a 6 month architectural internship at RD&M Architects, Bangalore; where I learnt the nitty gritties involved in real life construction projects, design management and a little bit of project management.
To give 'disha' (direction) to my dream of being a significant contributor to the field of sustainable design, I chose to do masters in construction management at CMU, where I intend to stretch my knowledge over diverse but relevant fields of study such as management, design , sustainable principles, social psychology and innovation policy; which play a major role in achieving triple bottom line sustainable communities. The intention behind opting for this course is to equip myself with enough information about innovation policy that could help me make a correlation among the fields of architecture, policy and psychology; which I believe will be a stepping stone to my endeavors.
I am an extremely optimistic person and a good listener. Travelling, sketching and observing and analyzing people are some amongst my passions. Being connected to the nature at all times, in all senses is important to me and thus my struggle for a sustainable future.
