To be clear, my name is Richard Nere. I am originally from Newton, Massachusetts. Moreover, I received my BA in Political Science from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. My central interests as an undergrad involved grand strategy making, foreign policy, and the U.S. National Interest.
Subsequent to completing my studies at Tulane University, I enlisted in the U.S. Army - Infantry. I was stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska with an airborne infantry unit. During my units deployment to Afghanistan, I managed a psychological operations team. Moreover, I wrote a paper that was published in the Strategic Insights journal. This journal, of course, is a peer reviewed journal at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, CA.
I am currently a graduate student at the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. In fact, I am a Public Management student. As it stands, I am currently interested in strategic planning, innovation, and data driven management. In my case, Heinz appears to be the perfect place to complete graduate study, especially with the ubiquity of data driven management as a general axiom in the curriculum here at the university.
This course will indeed satiate my interest in innovation. I look forward to learning more about innovation. At this point, I have taken relevant courses in Strategic Development, and Policy Innovation at the Heinz School. I only hope this course will add to my acumen.
